Pyramid

One of many clued anagram puzzles. A long word, typically consisting of nine letters, forms the base of the pyramid. For ascending layers, the word is reduced in length, one letter at a time. Each time, the remaining letters are rearranged to form a new word. The best advice is to start at the top, the descent is easier than the climb.
