Dennis And Gnasher Puzzles

The only magazine dedicated entirely to the country's best-loved characters, Dennis and Gnasher Puzzles takes children's puzzles to an entirely new level. There's nothing dull or commonplace, here. It's a great place for a 10-year-old kid. There are great strip stories, as you might expect, but these are incorporated with entertaining puzzles and jokes.

The strong storylines from Beano scriptwriters are complemented by traditional puzzles like wordsearch, crossword and kriss kross. Enduring favourites such as maze, tangled lines, and spot the difference are featured. And there is plenty of room for original observational puzzles.

Many of the puzzles have additional elements – for example, the unused letters in a wordsearch grid will spell the answer to a joke – that make the process of solving much more fun.

First and foremost, Dennis and Gnasher Puzzles is about entertainment. Dennis and Gnasher are two of the best-loved characters in the country, with their own smash hit TV show running on BBC. They aim to have as much fun as possible, and this is the underlying philosophy of their magazine. Lively characters, hilarious stories and over 60 gag-orientated puzzles amount to one big bellyful of laughs.

Altogether, this represents a refreshing and entirely different approach to puzzles, all of which have been created in line with National Curriculum Key Stage 1 and 2 objectives. The intention is to make learning so much fun that it doesn't seem like learning at all! We believe children will develop many skills as they tackle our puzzles. While the stated age-range (7-12) seems broad, we believe that most of the puzzles can be managed by 10-year-olds.

There is a big competition in each issue, usually for the latest gadget or electrical, plus a free pencil and toy on the front cover.
