Pick Me Up Puzzles

Within the pages of Pick Me Up Puzzles are over 70 different puzzle types (see below for more details), and each issue contains between 110 and 120 separate puzzles.

The large format means that the puzzles range from two-minute teasers to super-sized classic puzzles, and everything in-between. The classic crossword and its variants, such as Backwards, Codeword and Arroword, are plentiful, but Pick Me Up Puzzles contains much more puzzle variety than is standard – logical problems, brain training, visual and spatial relations and the popular Japanese puzzles of recent years are also included.

Each issue carries six competitions, including two with cash prizes, two competitions offering short breaks, one electronic gadget competition, and one other where a homeware prize is generally on offer.

However, light in tone with a clear, unfussy design, Pick Me Up Puzzles is definitely a puzzle magazine rather than a competition magazine. The full colour design enhances rather than detracts from the puzzles, while the large pages and extensive range of puzzles provide a puzzle for every occasion.
